As a long-time advocate for educational excellence and innovation, Dr. Pasigui brings with him extensive experience as a resource speaker, published author, and leader in various academic institutions. He has previously served as University Focal Person for QS Rankings and currently holds the position of Vice President for Research, Planning, Development, and Extension at the University of Cagayan Valley.
His application as a QS Reimagine Education Judge reflects his deep commitment to supporting and evaluating pioneering educational practices that respond to the evolving needs of global learners. Dr. Ronnie Espergal Pasigui currently serves as the Vice President for Research, Planning, Development, and Extension at the University of Cagayan Valley. He is a distinguished World Judge for the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) for both 2024 and 2025, proudly recognized as the first Filipino to be appointed as a WURI World Judge. His expertise and leadership in global higher education innovation have contributed significantly to promoting Philippine universities on the international stage.
Dr. Pasigui holds a Doctorate in Education, with specializations in Curriculum Development, Educational Management, and Educational Leadership. Prior to his current role, he was the University Focal Person for both WURI and QS Rankings at Cagayan State University, where he championed quality assurance and global competitiveness in higher education.
His career spans several decades of progressive leadership in education, having held key positions such as classroom teacher, program chair, academic head, college dean, OIC Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Executive Vice President in esteemed institutions including AMA University, National University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, University of Santo Tomas, and Colegio De San Juan De Letran. He has also served as an academic consultant to multiple higher education institutions across the Philippines.
A recognized thought leader and sought-after resource speaker, Dr. Pasigui is an authority on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), Curriculum Quality Audit, Constructive Alignment, Instructional Materials Development, Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), Quality Assurance, and the Internationalization of Higher Education. His contributions include authoring widely-used textbooks for Senior High School and College, such as Practical Research and World Religions and Belief Systems, both available on Amazon. His latest work, Jose Rizal: The Man and the Hero (An Anthology of Facts, Legacies, and Controversies), is a top-selling title in the local history category on major online platforms.
Dr. Pasigui also serves as a Training Officer for Rex Publishing, Mutya Publishing, and Mindshaper Publishing, where he mentors aspiring authors and educators in developing textbooks, modules, course guides, and other instructional materials.
In the field of educational technology, he previously led initiatives as Project Manager in the Educational Technology Division of C&E Publishing, spearheading the development of the Philippine eJournal (an online journal aggregator) and CE-Learning (a learning management system for digital education).
Beyond academia, Dr. Pasigui is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Professional Teachers, Inc. (NAPTI), where he has served as President for seven consecutive years, demonstrating unwavering commitment to elevating the teaching profession in the country.
