Dr. Ronnie Espergal Pasigui currently serves as the Vice President for Research, Planning, Development, and Extension at the University of Cagayan Valley. He is a distinguished World Judge for the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) for both 2024 and 2025, proudly recognized as the first Filipino to be appointed as a WURI World Judge. His expertise and leadership in global higher education innovation have contributed significantly to promoting Philippine universities on the international stage.
Dr. Pasigui holds a Doctorate in Education, with specializations in Curriculum Development, Educational Management, and Educational Leadership. Prior to his current role, he was the University Focal Person for both WURI and QS Rankings at Cagayan State University, where he championed quality assurance and global competitiveness in higher education.
His career spans several decades of progressive leadership in education, having held key positions such as classroom teacher, program chair, academic head, college dean, OIC Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Executive Vice President in esteemed institutions including AMA University, National University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, University of Santo Tomas, and Colegio De San Juan De Letran. He has also served as an academic consultant to multiple higher education institutions across the Philippines.
A recognized thought leader and sought-after resource speaker, Dr. Pasigui is an authority on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), Curriculum Quality Audit, Constructive Alignment, Instructional Materials Development, Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), Quality Assurance, and the Internationalization of Higher Education.
