Associate Professor Dr. Shakinaz is a dedicated academic and award-winning education innovator with a strong track record in biochemistry education, heutagogy, and the integration of AI in teaching and learning. She has developed impactful institutional tools such as the Course Learning Outcome Monitoring (CLOM) system, Learning Evaluation frameworks, and the Compilation of Teaching and Learning Documents (CTLD), all of which have significantly enhanced academic quality and student engagement. With years of experience judging educational innovation competitions at national and international levels, Dr. Shakinaz is skilled at identifying ideas that are both meaningful and transformative. Since 2023, she has served as a judge for QS Reimagine Education, contributing thoughtful evaluations that support global advancements in future-ready education.

Associate Professor Dr. Shakinaz is an educator deeply passionate about making learning more meaningful, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of tomorrow’s learners. Her work spans biochemistry education, heutagogy, hybrid learning, and AI-enhanced teaching—fields through which she explores how to better engage students and help them flourish in both academic and personal growth.

Over the years, Dr. Shakinaz has held several leadership roles that shaped her holistic view of education systems and their potential. She served as Director of the Division of Academic Development and Quality for eight years, Deputy Dean of Research and Management for four years, and Head of Department for two years, contributing to institutional strategies that emphasize people, purpose, and progress.

Known for combining creativity with practical application, Dr. Shakinaz developed a number of impactful tools, including the Course Learning Outcome Monitoring (CLOM) system, learning evaluation frameworks, and the Compilation of Teaching and Learning Documents (CTLD)—all of which have been adopted widely across her university to enhance transparency, quality, and teaching effectiveness.

Currently, she leads the ThinkerTech project, where she guides teams in turning innovative academic ideas into educational products that are useful, scalable, and aligned with future learning needs. Her contributions have been recognized through multiple national and international accolades, including awards from Geneva, ITEX, MTE, AYIA, and EDUINNOVATE.

Beyond her institutional commitments, Dr. Shakinaz is actively engaged in the global education community. She has served as a judge at various innovation competitions—locally and globally—and since 2023, has proudly contributed to the QS Reimagine Education Awards as a panel judge, supporting bold ideas that redefine how education is designed, delivered, and experienced.
