Amitav Saha is an accomplished Senior Lecturer in Accounting with over 15 years of experience in tertiary education. His scholarly work has appeared in several A/Q1 rated journals such as Abacus, Accounting & Finance, Journal of Accounting Literature, and Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics. Amitav is passionate about educating and developing future professionals. He received the Vice Chancellor's Award for Teaching from the University of Notre Dame Australia for sustained excellence in teaching. Amitav also has an excellent track record in the areas of curriculum mapping and development, external accreditation management and course and program design. Amitav maintains a high level of professional engagement and actively contributes to the industry in various capacities. He currently serves on the Advisory Panel of the Australian Government’s Australian Accounting Standards Board as a subject matter expert on corporate disclosures. His various contributions to the accounting discipline have been recognised by, CPA Australia, which awarded him the NSW President’s Award for Excellence.
