Dr.
Amjad Khan is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at
the Department of Pharmacy, Quaid-i-Azam University—Pakistan No:1 ranking
university. Dr. Khan’s current assignments include teaching to Pharm.D. and
postgraduate students, supervision of clinical projects of Pharm.D. students
and supervision of clinical research students. Dr. Khan obtained his Ph.D.
degree in Clinical Pharmacy from a well-reputed university i.e., Universiti
Sains Malaysia (USM) Malaysia; M.Phil. degree from Quaid-i-Azam University,
Pakistan and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy,
Gomal University, Pakistan with distinction and Gold Medal Award.
Dr.
Khan has been awarded various fellowships throughout his career to pursue his
research work at various international universities including but not limited
to UoN Chair of Oman's Medicinal Plants and Marine Natural Products, Nizwa
University, Sultanate of Oman and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Malaysia. In
this connection, Dr. Khan has published more than 50 research articles in
prestigious journals, granted 05 International patents, and 15 book chapters in
reputed books, and attended/organized several national as well as international
conferences. Dr. Khan is an HEC-recognized PhD supervisor; supervised 12
M.Phil. thesis and currently 06 M.Phil. and 05 PhD students are under his main
supervision. Dr. Khan has also co-supervised three international research
students from the University of Oslo, Norway; the University of Edinburgh,
Scotland, UK and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He is also serving as an
editorial board member and reviewer of many medical and multidisciplinary
journals including LANCET Journals and official journals of the National Kidney
Foundation. He is having research collaborations with the School of
Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM, Malaysia; Xi’an Jiaotong University, China and
University of Nottingham, UK.
Dr. Amjad Khan and his research students are currently working on various research projects.
