Angeles Domínguez
is Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the School of Medicine and Health
Sciences, professor at the School of Humanities and Education, and researcher
at the Institute for the Future of Education at Tecnologico de Monterrey. Also,
she collaborates with the School of Engineering at the Universidad Andres
Bello, Chile. Her areas of research are a) interdisciplinary education, gender
studies in STEM, and faculty development. Angeles participates in various
international projects and has been a mentor in the Global STEM Alliance's
1000Girls-1000Futures program, and Mentor in Science (British Council). She has
leadership roles in international groups and associations (ICTMA, PME-Na,
ASEE-EP&PD, conTigo T3, and IMMC) and QS Reimagine Education judge since
2018.
Angeles Domínguez

adjunct researcher at the Institute for the Future of Education at Tecnologico
de Monterrey. Also, she is currently collaborating with the School of
Engineering at the Universidad Andres Bello in Santiago, Chile. Angeles
obtained a degree in Industrial Physical Engineering from the Tecnologico de
Monterrey and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Syracuse University, New
York. Due to her research, she is a member of the National System of
Researchers, SNI-2, and her main areas of research are a) interdisciplinarity
in science, technology and innovation, b) gender studies in STEM, and c)
faculty development. Dr. Domínguez participates in various international
projects, the most recent being the project "Building the future of Latin
America: Engaging women into STEM" with funding from the European Union
ERASMUS+ in which 15 universities from 10 countries participate (5 European
universities and 10 Latin American). Because of her interest in women's
participation in science, she has been a mentor in the Global STEM Alliance's
1000Girls-1000Futures program, and recently Mentor in Science (British Council),
as well as the project of “Academic Women in STEM Mentoring Program” founded by
British Council. Finally, her commitment to promoting the dissemination of
knowledge motivates her to assume leadership roles in groups and associations,
such as: The International Community of Teachers of Mathematical Modeling and
Applications (ICTMA), Latin American Coordinator of Teachers Teaching with
Technology (conTigo T3), International Mathematical Modeling Challenge Finalist
Judge (IMMC), Physics Division of the American Society for Engineering
Education (ASEE), Psychology of Mathematics Education North American Chapter
(PME-NA) and Northeast Mexico Research and Innovation Network (REDIIEN), and QS
Reimagine Education judge since 2018.
