Devasheesh is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the International Management Institute in New Delhi, India. His research and teaching interests are Public Service Innovations, Strategic Foresight, Health Policy Implementation, and Design Thinking.
Devasheesh is an Assistant Professor at the International
Management Institute in the area of Strategic Management. He has valuable work experience
at policy think tanks and start-ups. His primary research areas include public
service innovations, strategic foresight, public sector management, business
strategies, and social entrepreneurship. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute
of Technology Bombay and earned his doctorate from the School of Public Policy
and Governance, Management Development Institute Gurgaon. His doctoral research
work has dealt with the process of radical innovations in public health in
India. He was awarded the ‘Emerging Scholar Award 2023’ by Common Ground
Research Networks, University of Illinois, for his contributions to healthcare
research.
He teaches courses on Strategic Management, Science of
Innovation, Business and Government Affairs, Public Systems Analyses, etc. He takes a course ‘Making Profits by Doing
Good’, which focuses on the concept of Quadruple Bottom Line and Social Return
on Investments. It is meant for organizations and employees to evaluate the
purpose of doing business. He is a certified futurist by Metafutures School,
Australia.
He has worked on consultative projects funded by the World
Health Organization and delivered to the National Health Agency related to policy
monitoring and impact evaluations of government programs. He has published
peer-reviewed research articles in BMC Health Services Research, the Journal of
Public Health and Development, the International Journal of Health Governance, etc., and open editorial pieces in leading dailies. He is one of the founding members
of the Indian Public Policy Network and a member of the Confederation of Indian
Industries, Association of Public Policy and Management, Academy of Management,
and International Public Policy Association.
