Rajeshwari Hegde holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in
Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of
Engineering, Mysore, a Master of Engineering degree in Electronics from BMS
College of Engineering, Bangalore, and a PhD from the University Visvesvaraya
College of Engineering, Bangalore. She served as head of the Department of Electronics &
Telecommunication Engineering from December 2016 to January 2019 and took over
again as Head of the department in June 2023. She served as IEEE BMSCE Student Branch Counsellor
for a period of two years (2020-2022) and the Institution received several awards during her tenure
as a Branch counselor.
She has published 150 technical papers in renowned international and national
conferences and journals. She has
visited Singapore and Nepal to present her research papers. She has also
been awarded best paper awards for her presentations at international
conferences. In the academic year 2022-2023, three research scholars received
PhD degrees under her guidance, and three scholars are pursuing PhD degrees at
VTU. She was one of 10 experts on the worldwide panel reviewing the BETA-Test
phase of the MSP430 Teaching ROM Version 2 for Texas Instruments, Dallas, and the University of Beira Interior, Belgium. She is a technical reviewer of various
international conferences and journals. She is also on the editorial board of
reputed international Engineering journals. Currently, she is guiding 4 Ph.D.
students and three research scholars awarded with PhD degree in 2023. She has
been successful in executing three projects funded by AICTE-MODROBS,
Competitive Research Grants under VTU and AICTE ATAL, and also a consultancy
work with ABB on “A Testing and Validation Platform
Motor Condition Monitoring Services” as a co-investigator.
