Hailed by the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy (USA) as one of the leading piano teachers in the world, Dr. Irina Voro is professor of creativity and piano at the
University of Kentucky. She
is the recipient of 15 teaching awards, including the U.S.
Presidential “Teacher Recognition Award” from the Obama
Administration, among
others.
Dr. Voro’s academic experiences include visiting professorships at the University of Shanghai, University of Florida, Juiz de Fora Federal University and College Espirito Santo (both in Brazil), Concervatory di Padova (Italy) and the Prague International Piano Masterclasses (Czech Republic).
Creator of the “L’Excital for Piano, Narrative and Imagination” format of concert presentations, Dr. Voro has been a concerti soloist with orchestras in Brazil, China, Canada, USA and Russia, and has given hundreds of solo performances on four continents.
