Dr. Arcede is a mathematician by profession. As Administrator, he held various posts, including directorships on internationalization, admission, and scholarships in a span of a decade. Currently, he is a research center director at the Mathematical and Statistical Computing Centre at Caraga State University.
Dr. Jayrold P. Arcede obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in mathematics through a Sandwich program at the Ateneo De Manila University and the National University of Singapore, showcasing his commitment to global learning and collaboration. He further expanded his horizons with a postdoctoral experience at the Universidade de Evora of Portugal, thanks to Erasmus Mundus. Because of this academic stint, he was able to realize the Caraga State U international partnerships among institutions around Asia and Europe.
