Kavita Sanghvi holds a Masters in Physics, Masters in Education, Masters in Philosophy of Education, and CAEL [Certificate in Advanced Course in Educational Leadership] Diploma from Harvard University. She presently heads SVKM's CNM School, in Mumbai.
She is a National Awardee 2022 receiving award from the President, Droupadi Murmu, Teach SDG’s Ambassador, Climate Action Ambassador, and Scientix Ambassador for India. In May 2023, she was inducted by the Ministry of India for the National Mission for Mentoring [NMM]. She is an advisory member of MISA from 2023 to 2026 for 3 years and advises the Executive body on the latest trends and developments in education.
She has conducted many action researches and was awarded the ‘Global Teacher Accreditation’ by British Council in 2014. She is a British Council Trainer and Ambassador. In 2021, she gave a talk on Blended learning in the Teacher Connect Mela.
She was a member of the Cambridge South Asia Advisory Board [F.Y. 21-22]. In 2021, she received a CBE Master Trainer and Mentor Certificate from the British Council, CBSE, and Cambridge jointly. In 2016, she was nominated as Top 50 teachers by Varkey Foundation for the Global Teacher Prize award. In 2020, she was awarded, 'Iconic Principals' by the Governor of Maharashtra.
She has created a STEAM curriculum called ‘Global Outlook’ for 1800 students of Std. I to VII, implemented in the school in 2019 and the feedback from students, parents and teachers and the NABET Accreditation Committee is very positive. She has created a STEM course, ‘’Build your STEM Competency’ available to educators across the world. The course has shown a positive impact on the learning curve of the teachers. Her dedication to promotion of STEM education for girls was published on the Teacher Task Force website
She has created lesson plans for Scientix which are available in the resource section. She submits STEM blogs to Scientix which are published.
She is a contributor to the teacher’s resource for Cambridge IGCSE Physics. As a Cambridge trainer, she trains teachers across India regularly and has trained teachers outside India in Maldives and Bangladesh on Cambridge Math and Science.
She is committed to spreading the UN Sustainable Development Goals so that children today can look forward to a beautiful and secure future and is the editor of the comic book on Global Goals. She is an active blogger and writes regular educational articles for leading magazines like Teacher Magazine, Brainfeed, Scoonews, Cambridge website, and many more.
