Kountiala Jean de Dieu SOME is a Doctoral Student in Education at Illinois State University (ISU) in education focusing on Teaching and Learning.
His area of research covers indigenous languages and cultures, with education policies in Africa's former colonies. With a BA in American Literature and Civilization and an MA in Translation and Interpretation from the Université Pr. Josèphe Ki-ZERBO (Burkina Faso) and an MA in Languages and Cultures from the University of Southern Indiana (USA), SOMÉ is certified in TESOL and CAT (Cultural Awareness Trainer) and specializes in andragogy and knowledge assessment.
A teacher of technical English and research methodology at private universities, SOME has supervised various students' research projects and internship reports in pursuing their master's or bachelor's degrees. SOME has published an autobiography and several educational articles in national newspapers. He founded the Dream Center for Young Leaders and is very active in socioeconomic and cultural matters. He is the chair and member of various community development initiatives.
As a professional bilingual translator-interpreter and experienced strategic communication with 12 years of experience in ESL teaching, SOME has a wide scope of interest in socioeconomic and cultural development as the central mission.

He has over 8 years of experience in bilingual translation and interpretation (French-English), proven experiences in strategic and operational communication, recruiting and managing translators and interpreters, and solid knowledge of websites and social network management strategies. SOME's skills and commitment to continuous learning helped him develop professional knowledge in graphic design and video/audio editing. All these, coupled with his leadership and team management skills, make him confident that he is well-equipped to intervene in projects that put humans at the center of actions.
