Dr Lisa Lam SFHEA is the Director of Centre for Innovative Service-Learning at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) who
provides academic leadership to credit-bearing
service-learning initiatives and oversees the development of TriAngle, HKBU’s
first co-working space that empowers students to engage in the world of social
good and innovation. Dr Lam strongly believes in the transformative power
of education, recognising its significance not only in acquiring knowledge and
skills but also in shaping character and values. She advocates for learning experiences that
are relevant, engaging and empowering, fostering an open and inclusive
environment that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking and compassion among
learners. Dr Lam has solid experience in
teaching with two teaching awards, programme development, quality assurance and
education management. She regularly serves
as a judge on international and local education award panels, and frequently
shares her knowledge and professional practices at summits and conferences. Currently, Dr Lam also serves as a Court member
of the University as well as the University Coordinator of the UN Sustainable
Development Solutions Network. She holds
a PhD in cultural studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a Senior
Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
