Extensive senior management experience with 30 years in higher education, plus 16 years in strategic consulting, general management and large-scale change project implementation. Non-executive roles in higher education and creative arts. Track record of developing and leading new initiatives in both education and business. Particular strengths in linking strategy, IT and organizational change.
Currently Professor in Strategic Management after five years (2017-22) as Dean of Nottingham University Business School China, based in Ningbo near Shanghai. The University of Nottingham Ningbo China is the first Sino-foreign university with students at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level as well as extensive research, executive education and business engagement. Previously Global Dean, Academic Affairs, at Hult International Business School and Ashridge, covering campuses worldwide in the US, UK, UAE and China. Earlier higher education roles at Cambridge University, Open University, Imperial College and Oxford University. Trustee of Holland Park Opera from 2015-2017 and Governor of the University of Bedfordshire from 2008-2014. International experience covers Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and US.
