Dr. Maybel Fernandez-Vallado was born in the Philippines, but is currently living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She is an alumna of the University of the Philippines (Diliman) and University of the Philippines Visayas (Iloilo, West Visayas); where she completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Communication and her Masters of Education-English as a Second Language degrees, respectively. She was a Senior Lecturer (September 2020-June 2023) and former Faculty Member of the College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines Visayas (1995-2010). A loving wife to Emmanuel and mother to six adult children; she enjoys reading,  listening to praise music, crocheting, and is a follower of Jesus.
