Dr. Mirna González-González was trained as a
Chemical Engineer and Doctor in Engineering Sciences with a major in
Biotechnology. She is assistant research professor at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Tecnológico de
Monterrey (Mexico) and principal investigator at the Bioengineering and Medical
Devices Unit at the Obesity Research Institute of Tecnológico de Monterrey
(Mexico). She teaches practical courses at the undergraduate level in the TEC21
model and participates in the graduate programs of the School of Medicine and
Health Sciences. She is a member of the National System of Researchers level I
and referee by invitation of scientific journals such as PLOS ONE, Separation
and Purification Technology, Food and Bioproducts Processing, among others. Author
of more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles in the area and
currently supervises 5 doctoral and postdoctoral projects.
