Paul Şerban Agachi (Romanian) is Professor of Chemical Engineering at
the Department of Chemical, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at Botswana
International University of Science and Technology, since 2015. He is also
Professor Emeritus at the University Babes-Bolyai (UBB), Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He
is member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences. As a professor in
Chemical Engineering he is an active member of European Federation of Chemical
Engineers and of the International Federation of Automatic Control.
Teaching activity: Process Engineering, Process Control, Process Modeling Simulation and Optimization, Theory of Systems, Process Management. Scientific activity can be summarized in over 360 scientific articles, 9 patents and 15 books (some present in over 2500 libraries around the world), over 2300 Google citations, H Index 22. Ongoing projects: tar, petrol from coal and coal dust; soap from tallow and liquid soap; coal to syngas and chemicals; fertilizers from coal; chlorine and sodium hydroxide from brine; coal to metallurgical coke.
