Dr. Vijila Kennedy is the founding Principal of Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts. 

She spearheaded the design and launch of a unique Liberal Arts College and is responsible for the strategic planning and academic direction of the College. She has forged important academic collaborations between International Universities and Kumaraguru Institutions.  In her earlier leadership role as Director of KCT Business School the Institution, she transformed the Institution by fostering triple fold growth and in the national ranking. In her distinguished professional career of 32 years, she has contributed to academia and community in several leadership capacities. 

She is a Fulbright scholar and was invited by the US Government for a senior academic administrators’ program. She has won UKIERI award and was invited by the UK government for an academic exchange. She was awarded Shastri-Indo Canadian Institute funding to build collaborations between the countries. She was invited for Euro-BRICS Youth Summit in Helsinki, and ABBS summit in Moscow. She has won Best Faculty Award, Dr. Radhakrishnan Award of Excellence, Best Management Faculty Award, Awards for Publications and Award of Merit for Institutional Development. She also received the distinguished alumni award from her alma mater. 

Vijila Kennedy is an active researcher and has carried out sponsored projects as research supervisor for doctoral students. She has published extensively in national and international refereed journals and has authored chapters in books.  She has several presentations in National and International conferences to her credit. She is in the Editorial Board of National and International Journals. She is also involved in management consulting and capacity building. She is an active trainer and has trained over 2500 industry professionals at various levels. She has conducted several training programs for faculty in schools and colleges. 

 With her practical and strategic experience in education she contributes as a strategic consultant and behavioral trainer for professionals in education sector. She is currently the Chairperson for the Education Panel of Confederation of Indian Industies Coimbatore.

She holds MBA degree and PhD in Human Resource Management. She globally travelled to several countries for academic engagements and contributions.
