Member of the Didáctica i Multimedia (DIM) Research Group since 2007; the Mexican Council of Educational Research (COMIE) since 2017; the American Educational Research Association (AERA) since 2017; the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT); and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) since 2017.

Her research interests focus on factors influencing teaching and learning, digital competencies, emotional education, and visual arts.

She has taught and supervised undergraduate, master's, and doctoral theses in both face-to-face and distance learning modalities. She is the author and co-author of peer-reviewed research articles published in national journals and book chapters produced by academic bodies. She currently serves as a full-time Professor-Researcher in the Department of Educational Sciences and is the Academic Director of the same department.
