Dr Eszter Lukács is Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations at Széchenyi István University (SZE), Hungary, and Associate Professor since 1997. She earned her PhD in International Relations from Corvinus University in 2006. Since 2017, she has led SZE’s internationalization, expanding English-taught programmes to over 50 and increasing international student numbers sixfold, now originating from 80 countries. Dr Lukács is an active member of several national and international professional organisations. In 2022, she was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary, and in 2024, in recognition of her outstanding work in teaching, research, and leadership, she received the Saint László Award.
