Dr. Haleama Al Sabbah is an Associate Professor of Public Health Nutrition at Abu Dhabi University, UAE. She earned her Ph.D. from Gent University, Belgium, with the support of a Belgian Technical.

Cooperation scholarship, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Tufts University, USA, as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar. With over 20 years of experience in academia, research, and health program management, Dr. Al Sabbah has held leadership roles, including Chair of the Department at Zayed University and An-Najah National University. Her research focuses on obesity, nutrition-related behaviors, maternal and child health, non-communicable diseases, nutrition epidemiology,

and refugee health, resulting in over 60 publications in high-impact journals. A consultant for global nutrition organizations and a contributor to regional health strategies, Dr. Al Sabbah is an active mentor and sought-after keynote speaker, committed to advancing public health research and education in the MENA region.
