Prof. Helmut Kern is Chairman of the Board of Statistics Austria and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of University of Vienna. He also is Representative for University Rankings  of the Austrian Government.

 He was Chairman of the Board of the Austrian state holding company Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖBAG) and Non Executive Director of several large Austrian and UK companies. Helmut Kern was a Global Partner at Deloitte Consulting and Head of Consulting at PwC.

 Prof. Kern holds degrees in Management as well as in History and Medieval History and completed programs at Columbia University (NY) and Harvard Business School (Mass.).

 Helmut Kern is a certified Golf Rules Official and a Track&Field Referee. He lives in Vienna, Austria. Helmut is happily married to his wife Michaela. They have adult twin daughters.
