Prof. Hemanth Noothalapati is an Associate Professor at Shimane University, Japan, where he leads pioneering research at the intersection of Raman spectroscopy and AI for environmental and biomedical applications. His work primarily spans early disease detection using interpretable AI-Raman platforms, label-free analysis of microplastics and porous liquid–based drug delivery. As Deputy Director of the International Center, he drives international collaboration with institutions across the globe empowering student mobility, cross-cultural learning and research capacity building. An active mentor, speaker and science communicator, he also serves on editorial boards and coordinates Indo-Japan research/education exchange programs.
