Mechanical Engineer with six years of professional experience in mining and production companies, as well as more than 25 years of academic experience in university teaching, academic management and research.

At present, Vice Chancellor of Research for more than six years. In this position, I have led the implementation of the UCV Research Ecosystem, strengthening scientific output and promoting networks and research groups involving RENACYT researchers. This has significantly contributed to the University's positioning in the main national and international rankings. I am convinced that research, technological development and innovation are fundamental to the growth and development of countries, meeting the needs of society in the process. In this context, universities play a leading role as agents of transformation and generators of solutions.
