Ts. Dr Mathivannan Jaganathan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia (Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International – AACSB). He also served as a Director of Career Development Centre, Student Affairs Department, Universiti Utara Malaysia from 15 January 2021 to 31 January 2022. In addition, he is also an active Professional Technologist approved by the Malaysian Board of Technologists. In addition, he also serves as President of the  Internet Society-Malaysian Chapter. Before his current appointment, he worked at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman as a lecturer of entrepreneurship for almost two years. He instructed numerous entrepreneurship courses spanning different levels, including Electronic Commerce, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Franchise Business Management, Business Growth Management, Entrepreneurial Behavior and Skills at the undergraduate level, and Entrepreneurship at the postgraduate level.

Apart from teaching, he is actively involved in research and published several papers in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Electronic Commerce, Social Commerce, Smart Retailing, Technology Management, Digital Entrepreneurship and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) (adoption, adaptation, acceptance, emerging technology and usage). He is also an active member of several international associations and a reviewer for academic journals and international conferences. He also served as a vice secretary of the Internet Society (Chapter Malaysia). He is also certified Lead Auditor/Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) by the International Register of Certificated Auditors IRCA, UK. In addition, he is also a Certified Advisor and Trainer of Mendeley Reference Manager. Furthermore,  he is also a member of the Assessment Panel Technology and Technical Accreditation Secretariat (TTAS), Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). He is also an active research fellow of Management and Leadership Case Study Centre (PKKPK), Associate Research Fellow Economic & Financial Policy Institute (ECoFI) and Co-Operative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI)Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Mathivannan Jaganathan was also an award recipient of Successful People In Malaysia by Britishpedia's Successful People In Malaysia biographical encyclopaedia, highlighting Malaysians who have contributed to nation-building and society in general. He was also recognised and awarded the Excellent Service Award 2011, Excellent Service Award 2015 and Excellent Service Award 2019 of Universiti Utara Malaysia. In addition, he is also a Favourite Website Award Winner (Personal Website Category), Malaysia Website Award 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022 by Exabytes Group. In line with the academic setting, he has personally conducted face-to-face classroom training and consultation on LimeSurvey (online survey builder), Mendeley (Reference Management), Endnote (Reference Management), Weebly (Website Design), WordPress (Web Content Management System), Blogger, Digital Marketing Online Tools and some relevant academic and non-academic related software system to his faculty members and students.

In addition to his extensive academic and professional achievements, Ts. Dr. Mathivannan Jaganathan harbors a deep passion and remarkable experience as a chef (Non certified Cook) . From the age of 10, he was immersed in the culinary arts under the guidance of his father, a seasoned cook, helping prepare exquisite Indian cuisine for weddings, birthday parties, temple prayers, and various other significant gatherings. Over more than three decades, he mastered intricate techniques and rich flavors, developing exceptional proficiency in traditional cooking methods and ingredient selection. His culinary journey, marked by a profound understanding of the cultural significance of food in Indian traditions, enables him to craft dishes that are both delicious and culturally resonant. Despite his demanding academic and professional commitments, his passion for cooking remains undiminished, highlighting a multifaceted personality dedicated to excellence both in academia and in the kitchen.
