Nancy Stearns Bercaw is the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships at Ajman University in the UAE.  As a member of the Cabinet, Nancy plays a pivotal role in enhancing the University’s reputation for educational quality, research excellence, and impactful achievements. She develops and implements strategies to strengthen existing partnerships, establish new collaborations, and advance relationships. Her strategic communications skills help ensure that our messaging engages external stakeholders in meaningful ways. 

Nancy previously served as Chief of Staff of Ajman University and the Senior Director of Global Internal Communications for the Mercy Corps, an international NGO. She is also a highly respected global journalist. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Hindu, The Korea Herald, and U.S. News & World Report, among others. She is the author of two books and one film script. She has lived in Kenya, Singapore, South Korea, and the UAE. She was born in the Philippines.
