Dr. Philipp Reichert is Director of the Global Engagement Office at UBC Okanagan and serves on the UBC Board of Governors. A scholar-practitioner in international education, he has lived, studied, and worked in Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, and the USA, with expertise in the intersection of government policy, institutional strategy, and international student success. He holds a Master’s in International Relations from Universiteit Leiden, a doctorate from the University of Calgary, and an RCIC designation in Canadian immigration law.
Beyond UBC, he is Senior Advisor for Learning and Development with the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), serves on the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) Board, and advises Wayble and the Indo Canada Education Council (ICEC). He also consults widely across the sector, supporting governments, associations, and universities. His leadership has been recognized with the CBIE North Star Award, AIEA Harold Josephson Award, BDO Top 40 under 40, and the 2024 BCCIE Outstanding Program Award in International Education for UBC Okanagan’s Global Pathways initiative.
