Mike (Qihang) Zhang is an award-winning product designer and creative strategist with a passion for blending data, design, and storytelling. A graduate of Harvard, UCLA, and Oxford, and an incoming student at Stanford University, he has led innovative projects in music analytics, public safety, and immersive experiences—earning over 50 international design awards. As a former Senior Product Designer at Chartmetric, Mike’s work bridges technology and human connection, consistently advocating for clarity, empathy, and impact in digital design.

Mike (Qihang) Zhang is an award-winning product designer and creative strategist known for his interdisciplinary approach to digital innovation. He has worked at the intersection of design, data, and storytelling across music, technology, and social impact.

Mike most recently served as a Senior Product Designer at Chartmetric, where he led the visual and UX direction for data tools used by major labels such as Universal, Warner, Sony, and Disney. His portfolio spans projects in music analytics, AI-powered public service platforms, and immersive memory experiences.

He holds a Master’s degree in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology from Harvard University, a B.A. in Communications and History from UCLA, and completed a visiting year at the University of Oxford. He is an incoming student at Stanford University.

To date, Mike has received over 50 international design awards, including the iF Design Award, A' Design Award, Indigo Design Award, and Muse Creative Awards. His work has been exhibited at the Louvre (Art Shopping Paris), ICFF New York, and featured in publications like Times of Fortune, Music Observer, and Digital Music News.

Outside of design, Mike serves as a mentor, judge, and community leader across global platforms—from hackathons to professional design organizations. He believes in design not just as a craft, but as a cultural force for clarity, care, and change.
