Sulait Tumwine is an Associate Professor of Behavioral accounting and finance at Makerere University School Business – Kampala, Uganda.  Prof. Tumwine has been in the teaching and lecturing profession at a university level for more than 22 years; his teaching, consultancy, and research interests are centered on managerial and cost accounting, behavioral finance, financial and business modeling, financial institutions, and sustainability (economic, social, and environmental).

Prof. Tumwine is an experienced business consultant with more than 10 years of experience in the field of business operations, strategic costing systems and pricing, financial management, and modeling. Tumwine is a creative, Innovative, and committed business and financial expert who has a record of aiding and significantly improving the efficiency and success of companies and projects. He is an individual who prioritizes working closely with clients to achieve the desired results in a timely and efficient manner.

Prof. Tumwine is an experienced middle level manager serving as a Deputy Dean since 2018 to date in charge of PhD programme at the Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research at Makerere University Business School (MUBS); a senate member at Makerere University, a member of the higher degrees at MUBS; a consultant with Abnest, an international business judge (Reimaginer) and was a member of the staff disciplinary committee at Mubs from 2014 - 2024, among others. Tumwine has a great passion for sharing what he knows, which is an essential ingredient for societal wellbeing, improved livelihood, societal transformation, and sustainable economic growth and development.
