Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences and currently heads UPM’s Centre for Academic Development and Leadership Excellence (CADe-Lead). From 2018 to 2022, she served as Director of the Academic Excellence Division in Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education, and her teaching and e-learning innovations earned her the National Academic Award (Teaching Award – Pure Science Cluster) in 2018 and the Higher Education E-Learning Maestro Award in 2023. Beyond UPM, she is Adjunct Professor at UCSI University, Advisory Board Member of the UK–Malaysian University Consortium, and advisor to teaching and learning centres at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and Universiti Teknologi Petronas. She chairs the Malaysian Higher Education Teaching and Learning Council (MAGNETIC), serves as Deputy Chair of the Working Committee for the Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint (2025–2036), leads the National Education Reform Working Group on Adaptive, Relevant, and Responsive Curriculum, and acts as an expert consultant on academic programme transformation in Cambodian higher education.
