
Professor Aasia Khanum is a senior Computer
Science academic and AI educator at Forman Christian College (a chartered
university), Lahore, Pakistan, with extensive experience in Artificial
Intelligence, curriculum innovation, academic leadership, and
technology-enhanced learning. She has served in multiple leadership and quality
assurance roles, including Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science,
coordinator of industry-academia initiatives, and contributor to accreditation
and curriculum development processes aligned with international standards.
Her teaching and research interests span
Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI in Education, learning design,
ethical and responsible AI integration, and emerging areas such as Generative
and Agentic AI systems. She is particularly interested in authentic assessment
design, AI literacy, and the evolving relationship between human learning,
critical thinking, and intelligent technologies in higher education.
Professor Khanum has supervised numerous
undergraduate and graduate projects in AI and related fields, delivered faculty
development and AI training sessions, and contributed to institutional
conversations around the responsible adoption of AI in teaching and learning. Her
current work focuses on learning-centered approaches to AI integration,
reflective pedagogy, and designing educational experiences that cultivate both
technical competence and ethical awareness.
She also engages with academic and
professional communities through workshops, curriculum initiatives, advisory
collaborations, and international educational forums.
