
Dr. Ace C. Lagman is a distinguished scholar, academic leader, and policy contributor in the field of Information Technology education and computing research in the Philippines. He currently serves as Senior Director of the College of Computer Studies and Multimedia Arts at FEU Institute of Technology, where he leads strategic academic initiatives, research development, and industry-academe collaborations in computing and multimedia disciplines. Dr. Lagman is a Technical Panel Member for Information Technology of the Commission on Higher Education(CHED), contributing to national curriculum standards, quality assurance frameworks, and higher education policy development. In addition, Dr. Lagman was appointed also as CHED Technical Panel Member for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics of Commission on Higher Education(CHED) focused on developing roadmap of AI in the Philippines He previously served as President of the Council of Deans and Program Heads for Information Technology Education NCR (CODITE-NCR), where he championed innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence among IT institutions in the National Capital Region because of this he is the first recipient of the Council of Deans Leadership Excellence Award. A certified Scientific and Technological Specialist by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Dr. Lagman actively contributes to advancing scientific and technological research. He is a Regular Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) and serves in various national bodies, including the Technical Committee of the Bureau of Philippine Standards under the Department of Trade and Industry and the Technical Working Group of the DOST Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI). Through these roles, he contributes to shaping national IT standards, research priorities, and science education initiatives. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Lagman has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in Scopus-indexed journals and international conference proceedings. His scholarly work spans computing innovation, educational technology, artificial intelligence applications, and information systems research. He has received multiple international awards for research excellence in Thailand, Korea, Japan, US and other countries. In recognition of his contributions to science, education, and public service, he has been conferred prestigious distinctions including Dangal ng Baliwag and Dangal ng Lipi ng Bulacan, the highest honors granted by the city and provincial governments, respectively. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Dangal ng Bulacan Foundation, Inc., alongside prominent national leaders. According to the AD Scientific Index World Ranking, Dr. Lagman ranks one of top scientist in the Philippines particularly in Engineering and Technology. Dr. Lagman’s work continues to influence higher education reform, computing research advancement, and national IT policy development—making him a sought-after keynote speaker on topics including digital transformation in education, quality assurance in computing programs, artificial intelligence in higher education, and research excellence in emerging technologies.
