
Dr. Adity Saxena, Professor & Dean, School of Art & Design, Woxsen University | Director, Centre for Learning Design
Dr. Adity Saxena is a Professor, Dean, and institutional strategist with over two decades of experience in higher education, design pedagogy, and international academic leadership. Under her leadership, Woxsen University's School of Art & Design has been ranked 1st in Telangana and 2nd in India (IIRF 2025) for three consecutive years, leading a community of 40+ faculty and 500+ students.
An elected Board Member of the College Art Association (USA) — the first Indian academic to hold this position — she brings a distinctly global and equity-centred perspective to design education. She is also India's representative for Restorative Justice Education and Director of Woxsen's Centre for Learning Design, a national hub for pedagogical innovation with partnerships spanning the UK, EU, and USA.
Dr. Saxena has led EU-funded Erasmus+ research, co-chaired the Australia–India Leadership Roundtable (AILEAD 2025) with the University of Melbourne, and delivered keynotes at OEB Berlin, UX India, PRME/UN Global Compact, and Chelsea College of Art (UAL London). Her research spans design thinking, learning design, curriculum innovation, and equity in education, with publications in international peer-reviewed journals and recognition including the IDA Award 2023 and the PRME 2025 Award for Curriculum Innovation.
She has been awarded Best Dean at Woxsen University for two consecutive years (2023 & 2024).
