Vice-President
Teach the World Foundation

As Vice-President and founding member of Teach the World Foundation, I have had a key role in developing an innovative digital learning model to tackle foundational learning and literacy through play-based approaches. The flagship The Digital MicroSchool model is a one-room school that used adaptive game-based learning products, gamification, low-cost digital devices and analytics to deliver foundational numeracy and literacy in a completely self-paced and student driven environment. It has been deployed with excellent proven results in Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Sudan and Malawi with 20,000+ out-of-school children, in varied challenging settings, from urban slums to refugee camps and remote Himalayan villages. Students outperform students in traditional schools, achieving at least 1.5X- 2X learning gains, as measured by independent third parties across time, multiple geographies, and environments. Through my efforts, we have secured a pipeline of more than USD ~$7.5M already to scale the Digital MicroSchool model with the Govt. of Sindh, Pakistan with 125 pilot MicroSchools in Phase 1 already established and a further 300 schools, impacting 30,000 students, being established in 2026-27 in Phase 2, with a commitment to further scale the model in the next 3-5 years across the province to impact millions.

I was recently awarded the 2026 Forty Under 40 Global Award in recognition of the work I have done at Teach the World Foundation and part of the prestigious Now Go Build CTO Fellowship, an invite-only fellowship run by the CTO and Vice-President of Amazon, Dr. Werner Vogels. I was also the 2025 EDSAFE AI Alliance Catalyst Fellow, which brought together leaders on the supply and demand side to reimagine education as a learning system enabled by AI, as well as participating in the AI for Changemakers program, a 3-year accelerator program dedicated to amplifying the impact of ambitious nonprofits by partnering them with socially engaged tech companies specialising in AI. I also took part in the 2025-2026 Eahou Global Immersion Cohort, a cohort of local and global leaders explore that explored how ancestral knowledge, technology, and entrepreneurship intersect to shape a regenerative, inclusive economy, and the 2026 Analytics for a Better World Impact Accelerator for Data Science, a non-profit accelerator that paired mission‑driven organizations with top data science, AI, and optimization experts to solve SDG‑aligned challenges and build lasting analytics capacity.

My work was also recognized by the World Bank in their Ideas4Change 2020 competition, where this idea was selected out of 4000+ applicants (World Bank Announces 2020 Ideas for Action Winners), and the only one in education. The model has also been recognized by other leading organizations such as MIT Solve in 2025 and 2023 (MIT Solve | ELAN - Enhancing Literacy and Numeracy - Overview) (MIT Solve | Teach the World Foundation), UNESCO/HARVARD (Learning to build back better futures for education: lessons from educational innovation during the COVID-19 pandemic - UNESCO Digital Library), 2026 Kirby Impact Prize Finalist (F. M. Kirby Prize for Scaling Impact) HundrED (hundred.org) among many others.
