Professor Angelos Stefanidis is the Founding Dean of the School of AI and Advanced Computing at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. He is an experienced academic leader with a long record of international partnership development, large-scale programme innovation, and strategic research growth across AI, digital health, IoT and computing. His career spans senior roles in the UK and China, with achievements in transnational education, industry collaboration, and large research initiatives. A Chartered IT Professional and Fellow of the HEA, he has chaired major reviews, led accreditation processes, and contributed extensively to global higher education development.
