Hi there I am Dr. Shaik Asif Hussain, Associate Professor and Head of the Centre for Research and Consultancy at Middle East College, Muscat, Oman, where I have been serving since 2015. I also hold the role of Technology Transfer Officer, working at the interface of academic research and industry innovation. With over 15 years of experience in higher education across Oman, the United Kingdom, and India, my expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Digital Signal and Image Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Embedded Systems, and the Internet of Things. I am an elevated Senior Member of IEEE and have published over 52 journal papers and 36 international conference papers, with an H-index of 11, 6 patents, 3 copyright, and books published with Springer, IGI Global, and Nova Publishers. I have successfully secured research grants as Principal Investigator from Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI) formerly known as The Research Council of Oman (TRC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Department of Science and Technology, India (DST-SERB). I am currently serving as General Chair and Keynote Speaker for IEEE ICNDEMAC-2027 in the 1st International Conference on Nano-Devices, Emerging Materials for Advanced Computing and previously served as Technical Programme Chair for IEEE ICADAAI 2026. I hold a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (2015) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Professional Practice from Coventry University, UK. I am passionate about technology transfer, research commercialisation, and mentoring the next generation of engineers and researchers.
