I am an Advisor to the Rector on Quality Assurance at Baku State University (BSU), where I lead initiatives that strengthen internal QA systems, enhance institutional performance, and support the university’s strategic internationalization efforts. With a PhD in Economics and an M.A. in Education Policy and Leadership from The George Washington University, my work bridges academic research, policy design, and practical implementation in higher education.
As an Associate Professor and lecturer, I am committed to advancing student-centered learning, staff development, and evidence-based decision-making. My research focuses on QA systems, labor market alignment, and institutional capacity-building—areas that directly contribute to improving the quality and relevance of higher education in Azerbaijan.
I also serve as a Member of the Advisory Council of AASHE, supporting global conversations on sustainability and the SDGs. I work actively on university rankings and benchmarking processes, ensuring BSU’s visibility and competitiveness within the global higher education landscape.
Across all my roles—as a researcher, educator, advisor, and expert—I am driven by a single goal: to help build higher education environments that are accountable, innovative, internationally connected, and responsive to societal needs.
