
Dr. Bernardo D. Lamadrid is an Associate Professor of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) in La Union, Philippines. He is currently the Vice President for Quality Assurance, Internationalization, and Linkages. Prior to his designation as the Vice President, he served as the Executive Director of the DMMMSUs Open University System. Also, he served as the Campus Head of the Student Affairs and Services of DMMMSU Mid La Union Campus in the City of San Fernando, La Union.
Dr. Lamadrid is a licensed Professional Teacher. He specializes courses on information technology enabling him to be invited to teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the university. Aside from being an academician for almost 24 years, he is involved in research and extension activities. He has completed several research studies and participated in several community extension projects.
One of the highlights of his career is for him to be selected as one of the 45 scholars nationwide of a leadership program - Middle Managers Class of the Development Academy of the Philippines under the Public Management Development Program in 2022. He successfully completed the residential training and was able to implement his study allowing him to be awarded with a Master in Development Administration degree.
In 2024, he was also selected to participate in SEARCA's international Leadership Development Program for Higher Education Institutions in Southeast Asia which run for 5 months, allowing him to share his expertise with other experts from the region.
