
Prof. Ir. Dr. Che Maznah Mat Isa is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). Prior to joining UniMAP, she served for more than three decades at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. She is a registered Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and has extensive experience in engineering education, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), quality assurance, curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation. Her leadership roles have included Head of the Quality Unit at UiTM (2017–2019) and Associate Director (Technician) of the Engineering Accreditation Department (EAD), BEM (2018–2020). She currently serves as Associate Director (Civil), EAD, BEM, contributing to the quality assurance and accreditation of engineering programmes in Malaysia. Prof. Che Maznah has received numerous national and international awards in recognition of her contributions to engineering education, innovative teaching and assessment, and accreditation. She was the Champion of AKRI 2022 (Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia) under the Alternative Assessment Category for her innovation, “An Innovative Alternative Assessment for Engineers in Society Course Integrated with SULAM and Design Thinking Approaches. At the international level, she received the Silver Award in the Learning Assessment Category at the 11th QS Reimagine Education Awards & Conference, 2024 in London. Her continuing work focuses on advancing quality engineering education through OBE, authentic and alternative assessment, educational innovation, accreditation, and continual quality improvement, with a strong commitment to developing competent, ethical, and future-ready engineering graduates.
