Christian Elongue is the Managing Director of Kabod Group, parent company of Muna, an award winning edtech company that creates, distributes and promotes Afrocentric stories for children and families. As a edtech company, Muna produces quality educational and entertaining resources such as children books, audio stories and animation. Over the years, we established several products that are relevant to the evolving needs of families, publishers and parents:

-        Muna Kalati Agency (https://www.munakalati.org/services): a digital marketing and translation venture that supports publishers and authors of children books to boost their sales, visibility and brand.

-        Muna Magazine (https://www.munakalati.org/muna-magazine) : a resource with tips, trends and financial literacy lessons for students.

-        Muna Animation Studio (https://www.munakalati.org/muna-studio): the production arm, responsible of in-house and commercial animations.

-        Muna Flix (munaflix.com): our distribution arm, the first African video streaming platform that focus on animation with series and shows from various animation studios and creators in Africa, enabling them to monetize their work and grow visibility. Over 41 000 users monthly.

-        Muna Kalati App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.munakalati.app&pli=1): a marketplace enabling African publishers to easily sell children’s books and audio stories. Parents and children can easily buy, read and listen to quality stories and resource from diverse countries. Learning paths are personalized and gamified.

-        Outliers : where we spotlight outstanding students with inspiring achievements in various fields. The goal is for them to inspire their peers, students to think big and act differently.

-        Munali: a mobile app to teach 4 African languages to children through edutaining content.

-         MK Talks (https://www.munakalati.org/resources/mk-talks): webinars and policy dialogues on the use of local languages in education, distribution of African books, children media etc.

 

In 2019, Christian has also published the book “Introduction to Children Literature in Cameroon” and published several papers on gamification of education in Africa.  He has also been  :

-        Research Fellow  with the French National Centre for Children’s Literature (BnF)

-        on the Executive Committee of the International Board on Books for Young People  (IBBY International), and founding Vice-President of IBBY-Cameroon.

-        Served as education, research or knowledge management consultant for institutions such as African Development Bank, World Bank, IFC, WACSI, GVI, etc.

-        the president of the International Network for the Promotion of Arts of Speech in Africa and the Caribbean (RIPAO), he delivered uncommonly original and useful trainings and insights that lead to individuals doing their best work and teams providing superb results.

-        trainer of Trainers for the WDI-World Debate Institute (USA) since 2013, he has coached and trained at least 700 managers in Africa and Europe

-        mentored 360 young African leaders via his mentoring initiative and more via the Ashoka, Total  Energies, Future Africa Fellowship, YALI MWF, African Changemakers, Global Give Back Circle, Commonwealth Mentorship  Programme, etc

-        Speaker at national, and international conferences of UNESCO, eLearning Africa etc.

-         

In 2021, he got acknowledged as one of the 30 Global literacy Champion and innovators by the International Literacy Association (ILA) and his work on foundational learning and numeracy (FLN), which   impacted at least 9032 African children, was covered by LeMonde, RFI, Askan etc.

 

In 2018, he completed his second master degree on children book publishing and his burning desire for learning resulted in him completing about 166 courses and training certifications
