
Dr Claudia Lizette Garay-Rondero is an academic leader and researcher specialising in digital transformation, educational innovation, logistics, and future-ready competencies. She currently serves as a Senior Researcher at the University of Gibraltar and as an Adjunct Senior Researcher & Professor at the Institute for the Future of Education, Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Previously, she served as Director of the Academic Delegation in Madrid for Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she led international academic initiatives connecting Latin America and Europe through academic mobility, research collaboration, institutional partnerships, and global learning experiences.
Her work focuses on competency-based education, experiential learning, challenge-based learning, AI-enabled education, digital supply chains, Industry 4.0/5.0, and the integration of emerging technologies into higher education. She has contributed to international academic and research initiatives across Europe and Latin America, building bridges between universities, industry partners, researchers, and students through high-impact educational innovation and research collaborations.
With more than 16 years of experience in academia, research, and academic leadership, her work is driven by the design of human-centred, digitally enabled, and globally connected solutions that create measurable impact in education and industry.
