
Dilip
Surkar is a development sector leader with over 35 years of experience in STEM
education, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, water and
sanitation, and climate resilience. He currently serves as Executive Director
of the Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC), Director of VIKSAT,
and CEO of the Nehru Foundation for Development (NFD), India.
He has
previously served as National Coordinator of the GEF UNDP Small Grants
Programme in India, Senior Fellow with the American India Foundation (AIF), and
Co-Chair of the global coalition End Water Poverty.
He serves
on the boards of several educational and development institutions. Under his
leadership, VASCSC has received national and international recognitions for
science communication, STEM education, and social impact.
