Dr. Deepika Kohli is a senior academic, researcher, and digital learning expert with more than 17 years of experience in higher education and teacher education. Her areas of expertise include Artificial Intelligence in Education, digital learning, Open and Distance Learning (ODL), blended and hybrid pedagogies, inclusive education, and research capacity building.

She currently serves as Assistant Professor and Dean of Student Welfare at Khalsa College of Education and also works as Deputy Chief Academic Officer and EdTech Consultant in France. Dr. Kohli is an External Academic Collaborator with the AIEOU Hub and is presently working on the “Collab Labs” project under the AIEOU Hub initiative at the University of Oxford. She also serves as a Judge for the QS Reimagine Education Awards. She is an SPSC Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goals Achievement and serves as a Dissertation Chair and Committee Member for doctoral research programs in the United States.

Dr. Kohli mentors and supervises M.Ed. and Ed.D. scholars across institutions in India, France, and the USA. She has successfully launched five MOOCs under the UNESCO OE4BW initiative in collaboration with the University of Nova Gorica, including a recent four-week MOOC on Intellectual Property Rights and Digital Tools. In 2023, she personally presented her MOOC work at the University of Nova Gorica. She was also invited as a distinguished guest at the graduation ceremony of IBES in Malaysia.

An accomplished scholar, Dr. Kohli has published four patents, authored and edited multiple books, and contributed more than 40 research publications in peer-reviewed journals, including several indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC-CARE databases. Her research contributions in the field of AI, digital education, teacher education, and inclusive learning have gained international recognition.

Dr. Kohli has received several prestigious recognitions and awards for her academic and research contributions. The Khalsa College Charitable Society honored her with the Best Researcher Award in 2025. In 2025, GSFN Global awarded her the Platinum Award for her outstanding contribution. BERA also shortlisted her research article for the Best Research Intelligence Article Award 2025.

She serves as a member of the Academic Council of her university and is also associated as a board member with a French institute. She is a member of the Board of Studies and Faculty of Education in academic institutions. Dr. Kohli also serves as the Regional Chair of IGC UK for academic and student-focused activities.

Dr. Kohli is an active member of the international collaborative research initiative “Digital Curb Cuts for Seamless Education” under the IRN-ISSE project.

Widely recognized as a global speaker on Generative AI and Education, Dr. Kohli has contributed as a content writer for NCERT, NIOS, and Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University. She also serves as a mentor under the National Mission for Mentoring and contributes to academia as an editor and reviewer for reputed national and international journals.
