Dr. Sureshkumar, Markanday Subramanian is an outstanding academician, established

researcher and an able teacher with 28+ years of experience in teaching, research, academic

administration and projects in the multi-disciplinary areas of materials science and

chemistry. During his service he has made significant contributions to diploma,

undergraduate, post graduate and research education in the specialized areas such as

Chemistry and Polymers.

He is actively involved in inculcating research and development activities with his students

and highly encourages them in participating conferences, workshops and shaping their

thoughts into published works, patents, etc. He employs innovative, hybrid technology

enabled teaching methodology in his classes and trains students in virtual laboratories.

He is having international work experience from the following countries: Italy, Canada,

Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe. As on date his achievements and scholarly

activities spans to 280+ which includes, Virtual Lab MOUs, Program Grant, Patents,

Publications in peer-reviewed journals, articles of scientific interest, book chapters,

conference proceedings, invited lectures, organization of faculty development program and

its participation.

In addition to the regular academic activities, he is also having the affiliation as I-STEM

(Government of India) Working Ambassador, Advisor – R & D, 3R ZeroWaste Pvt., Ltd.,

Gurgoan, India, Expert Committee Member, Higher Education Authority, Government of

Republic of Zambia.
