Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon is the esteemed University President of Ifugao State University (IFSU) and a Professor VI. With a robust academic background, she holds a PhD by Research Work from Nueva Vizcaya State University, a Master of Arts in English Language from St. Mary’s University, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Lyceum of the Philippines University. 


As the first woman president of IFSU, she advances inclusive governance, cultural integrity, and institutional transformation-demonstrating how empowered women leaders can elevate universities to global prominence while remaining deeply rooted in community values.


With over two decades of service, Dr. Dugyon has held strategic positions in extension, management information systems, and planning, shaping IFSU’s institutional growth agenda. She currently serves as President of the Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC), where she champions collaboration among six state universities and colleges in the region. Her leadership reflects futures thinking-strengthening systems, investing in people, and positioning institutions to respond proactively to global academic trends.


Under her stewardship, IFSU achieved Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Level 2 recognition and PRIME-HRM Level 2 status, reinforcing a culture of excellence and organizational maturity. She was honored with the Internationalization Leadership Award at the ICONS Awards in 2025, affirming her strategic commitment to upscaling programs and projects through purposeful global engagement. Her leadership propelled IFSU into respected international rankings, including the QS Stars Rating System, QS World University Rankings-Asia, Applied HE, World University Rankings for Innovation, and Times Higher Education, strengthening its international reputation.


Beyond her administrative duties, Dr. Dugyon has spearheaded impactful community-based extension initiatives focusing on indigenous knowledge, food security, and sustainable development. Her visionary leadership has been instrumental in expanding IFSU's assets and generating new income streams. Guided by her motto, "Reaching out… Touching lives… Empowering communities," she continues to champion excellence in instruction, research, extension, and global partnerships, reinforcing her role as a transformative leader in Philippine higher education.
