After working in tertiary education institutions in the United Kingdom (UK) and Hong Kong (HK) for 35 years, Eva retired from Hong Kong Baptist University in January 2021.

Eva was educated in the UK, received her first degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from University College London, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Abertay Dundee.

As a perfect compliment to conclude her long service in tertiary education, Eva led her team to win the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award 2nd-tier prize from the Ministry of Education, China. In 2020, Eva received the University Grants Committee Teaching Award (Team), the most prestigious teaching award for universities in Hong Kong. To acknowledge her contributions to teaching and learning, Eva was elected a Principal Fellow, Higher Education Academy of Advanced HE in the UK in 2018.

With her interests and expertise in the enhancement of student learning through the use of engaging and learner-centred pedagogies leveraged on e-learning, Eva had presented and published regularly in these areas. She now takes on consultancy on interesting education projects.
