Dr. Faiz Izwan Anuar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Tourism Management at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam Campus, Selangor. He holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and specializes in tourism innovation, tourism technology, philosophy of tourism, event planning, sponsorship, and event marketing. His academic and research interests focus on the intersection of technology and tourism, particularly Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR), Smart Tourism Technologies, social media, digital tourism innovation, heritage tourism, and destination marketing management in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Faiz is actively involved in scholarly research and has published works in areas related to tourism technology, consumer behavior, and digital learning innovation. Among his notable publications are studies on augmented reality applications in tourism, interactive thematic maps in tourist perception, online assessments and educational technology, and consumer purchase behavior in hospitality and tourism contexts. His research has appeared in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. 

In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Faiz has extensive experience serving as a reviewer for international peer-reviewed journals, particularly in tourism, hospitality, technology, and interdisciplinary social science research. His expertise in digital tourism and innovation has enabled him to contribute to maintaining high scholarly standards in academic publishing.

Beyond academia, Dr. Faiz is also an Apple Professional Learning Specialist (APLS), where he mentors and supports educators in integrating Apple technologies into teaching and learning through innovative and engaging pedagogical practices.
