Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farah Mohamad Zain is a Senior Lecturer in Educational Technology at School of Education, Universiti Utara Malaysia. She currently serves as the Chief Editor for the International Journal of Education, Islamic Studies and Social Research (IJEISR). She has managed to involve in 22 research grants (8 as Principal Investigator, 14 as Co-investigator) funded by university, national and international grant.  Her research areas and interest include digital content development, instructional technology, scholarship of teaching and learning, integration of AI-powered tools and augmented reality. She has extensive experience in digital content development (video production, editing, narrating, interactive content, etc) and also has obtained several Innovation Competition Awards and has owned 20 copyrights. She also experiences in several university administration posts as Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coordinator (2020-2021), Manager of Special Task at the Corporate Planning Division (2022), Postgraduate Coordinator (2023) and Deputy Dean (2024-2025).
