Fawaz Qasem is an Associate Professor at the Department of English language and literature, University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia. He received his MA in TESL and  Ph.D. in Linguistics and Phonetics from the English and Foreign Languages University.

His research interests include language acquisition, language disorder, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics,  language and  AI technology, and its enhancement in learning and teaching, higher education development, and language policy. 

He works as a consultant of the international rankings at the Deanship of Development and Quality, the University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia. Fawaz works as an editor and reviewer of several scholarly journals in Web of Science and Scopus. Fawaz is a member of several international educational organizations.
