Throughout his career, Professor Fardoun has held senior executive, vice-presidential, and advisory positions in higher education, contributing to institutional transformation, global visibility, and academic excellence. He has supported universities in developing strategies for international rankings, sustainability, research impact, partnerships, and reputation building, working closely with university leaders and academic communities across different countries.
He is also an accomplished researcher and professor whose interests include higher education development, human–computer interaction, digital learning, cloud software engineering, and technology-assisted rehabilitation. His scholarly record includes more than 200 publications, alongside participation in international conferences, research initiatives, and editorial activities.
Professor Fardoun is an Executive Committee member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence and an international consultant in university excellence.
