I am Eder Carrera, and I am a passionate professor about the application of chemical engineering in sustainability issues. My dedication to this field is reflected in my constant search for innovative solutions to environmental challenges through the use of science and technology. In addition to my commitment to chemical engineering, I am passionate about the area of educational innovation. I am constantly seeking new ways to capture my students' attention and help them find the best way to learn the content. I firmly believe in the importance of keeping students engaged and motivated in the learning process.
In my classroom, I do not settle for traditional teaching methods. I use interactive approaches, cutting-edge technology, and hands-on projects to involve my students in learning. My goal is to inspire them to explore and discover their passion for chemical engineering and sustainability while developing critical skills to tackle real-world challenges.
In 2020, I was also shortlisted, together with a team of professors, at the QS Reimagine Education Awards in the Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) category, recognizing our work in innovative educational experiences through immersive technologies.
Thanks to my commitment to academic excellence and my dedication to educational innovation, I have created a dynamic and stimulating learning environment where students not only acquire knowledge but also develop a deep appreciation for the transformative power of education and the importance of our field of study in building a sustainable future.
